Young Moldovan violinist Alexandra Tirsu, who studied as an undergraduate in Vienna, Austria and in Sion, Switzerland, is fast gaining recognition as one of the leading violinists of her generation. Her performances have gained critical acclaim around the world. Recent performances have seen her collaborate with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic. An advocate of bringing violin music to wider audiences, she regularly collaborates with celebrated music comedy duo Igudesman & Joo.
